Goodbye, 2006

After dinner we went to Marina Square, wanted to watch The Wicker Man but Golden Village didn't have it so I don't know what we did... we ended up on Esplanade Drive waiting for the fireworks. Half way during the wait it started raining and we didn't bring umbrellas so we had to go, like many other people there. So Esplanade Drive was almost empty, everyone went to seek shelter at The Esplanade. After some while people started walking back to Esplanade Drive and continued waiting for the fireworks. Finally they appeared and it was a new year. There wasn't a 5-4-3-2-1 thing like I expected but never mind. Singaporeans were kind of barbaric there 'cause they all climbed up the railings to have a better view of the fireworks. And they stepped on all the bougainvilleas and killed 'em, so much for being a Clean & Green country. All the security guards were blowing their whistles at them and asking them to get down but they couldn't do anything to control the situation la.
We went to Lido after that to watch The Wicker Man at 2.30A.M., all the way till 4 and then went to East Coast Park but the Mcdonald's there was packed. We couldn't wait there so we went to Changi Beach Park instead to wait for the sunrise. The sky turned bright but we didn't see any sun so we left for home at 7.30. Whatever, should have stayed at East Coast Park. Reached home at past 8 and slept all the way till 6 in the evening today. I'm still tired.
